Having worked my way though the ICE upgrade i decided on a Kenwood unit, ipod/usb interface and DAB. The kenwood unit comes with a stick on antenna which I wanted to put on the rear quarter as per the originals.
Head unit DAB antenna connection was SMA mini, the same as the 2nd connection on the original head unit.
This I connected, i then went to the blue splitter/ amplifier next to the RF box and diconnected the cable which is another female SMA mini.
A jack-jack sma connector later (£5 from fleabay) and the existing cable connected, the new antenna was stuck to the back quarter glass , DAB works beautifully, using the existing cabling to make something modern work in a p38, now that doesn't happen very often..........
