I'm sure this has probably been covered before but can't find it. I'm after a headliner (not carpet but original) for the rear of my 90. Anyone know where I can get one?

I am glad this was posted again as I have also been toying with the same, but blimey - £200 for rear headlining for a 90

I thouht about buying a headliner but in the end couldnt justify the money. The inner roof was looking pretty tatty so I had a go at covering myself. For the front I just unclipped it and ripped the old lining off. Then I bought some car carpet from ebay and glued it on with heavy duty spray glue. For the back I have just stuck carpet directly to the roof. This didnt cost me a lot. It seems to be stuck well. Havent done a winter with it yet so Im not sure how much condensations ill get in the back still.

Does look good actually. Was just worried about the condensation making the carpet a bit off.

The carpet is fully synthetic so shouldn't mould or smell. I have had the same carpet on the floor in the back for a year now. It's been wet/damp for a whole winter with no sign of any rot/mould/mildue etc

i was looking into a liner too, but £200.....nah. carpeted the rear tub of my 90 about 10 years ago and its been great, but now needs replaced due to me being a messy fecker. spray adhesive works too well, gonna need the paper scraper
think i'll be doing the same for the roof lining

How difficult was it to get the carpet to follow the contours of the headling?
Easy. I spent about 30 mins measuring and cutting then about 10 mins sticking. Trimmed the excess after with a stanly knife. the carpet stretched and moulded with the contours fine. It's black car carpet from eBay. I used heavy duty spray glue excessively on the roof to make sure it stuck well.

you are right, it has been covered before, however just found a load of new ones on Ebay defender headlining | eBay UK and this website
Interior trims for all landrovers : LaSalle Trim

I fitted a LaSalle headlining in a S11 some time ago, they are fibreglass with a textured surface, very tough and you can fit soundproofing before fitting. They fit with plastic push rivets into holes you drill into the roof mounting rail. Once fitted they look very good, I got the one with space for a radio and speakers. Might treat my 90 to one next time I've got £200 spare.
