This is an increaseing problem, started once in a blue moon, but now its very much a nuisance/ almost every time I use the lights!
I keep getting headlight blown message and the light goes out ( im asumeing the becm cuts power to a detected blown bulb) but when I turn the lights off and on again it lights up then randomly goes out again a few minutes later
im guessing bad wireing and ive checked the plug at the lamp and it seems fine so any suggestions as to anywere else I should look?
also ive swoped the bulbs left to right and the problem stays to the left

Would a dehumidifre be any help or has the damage been done?
The the foam under carpets was pretty wet although the carpets them selfs were only lightly damp
is there not any conectors anywhere that could be worth looking at? Or problem spots were the wire could chaff?

Do you have Halogen bulbs or have you converted to HID?? I had a similar problem and it was from cheap HID bulbs

There hid but ive had them years and been fine
worked about a year in this car and 2 years in my last p38
plus its only one side same side when I swop them
You could check the connectors on the BECM for corrosion and if you are brave check inside for condensation. Make sure you diss the battery first. A de-humidifier is a good idea.

Its ok I got it lol
left a de humidifier in over night and it collected about 1/4pint but it had been raining early in the day so some of that may have been what I brought in on wet clothes
gona put it in again tonight

oh and problems still there

Just an update the dehumidifier pulled about 2 liters over a 5day period
But most importantly ive found the problem
I bought some capacitors made for hid convertions to stop the bulb failed message
Turned out one was faulty cos since removing them all is well

If you don't have HID lamps why did you fit capacitors in the first place?
