I have never had a Freelander, but at a guess, I would think it would depend to an extent on the quality of the skimming and gasket.
 
Ive had it done cost me parts and labour 1300 squid my dad says get rid but I want to keep her if im gunna get a few miles outta her am I wasting my time in the forums opinion

From memory, K series rarely give trouble if the gasket is done properly.
But as I said, you will get more authoritative opinion in the Freelie section, this area is for Introductions.
