Head gasket trouble!!!

Hi all,

my 1999 r/r 4.0 v8 has a head gasget problem which is now being repaired, does any one have any advice on any other work that should or could be done at the same time that will maybe prevent future problems.

Hi Johnd, with such a big repair & would seriously check out the flow rate of the radiator & the performance of the thermostat. Make sure the cooling system is filled with required amount of antifreeze. Antifreeze is an important corrosion inhibitor, ref the internals of the engine & it should never be neglected.
