He to all. Need advice re: FL1 TD4

Hi to all. i visit here a bit and im going crazy trying to get a definitive review / opinion on the freelander1 TD4.

Im currently looking at buying an '03 with 52k on it. The Kalahari spec.

Some friends have warned me to keep away, others have had no trouble at all!! I currently have a Vauxhall Frontera sport 2.2 petrol and had the headgasket go last year, and just last week (a week inside the warranty) and have decided to let her go after the fix.

I know the TD4 is a little slower / sluggish, but can anyone advise on the EGR workaround, and also any diesel tuning module that i have seen for sale.

Hope to be around but if the landy doesnt come around, i wont be here as much. I will get myself an off road landy soon - maybe a lightwieght or a softtop 90 ex MOD.

lol.... well i gotta say, with good A/T's on it goes where the 90's go. granted no diff lock but still holds its own. good news is head gasket work is covered by warranty from last year.

piad for the 03 td4 FL. hope it serves me well.

any ideas on the cd changer and what head unit i can use with it?

also any info on additional stuff like bars, lighting, tyres etc would be good.
