HCC Air susp inactive

Morning all, need help/advice hdc air susp inactive msg up on 04 L322, sent to dealers they want 450 quid to replace SAS sensor with no gaurentee it will cure it? Have searched all over and this seems to be a common issue but nobody has given a definitive answer how they eventually cured it. I will be ordering a faultmate today, decided to get the car back and recheck all the advice (battery/alternator etc) I have found until faultmate arrives.
Anyone done a SAS sensor or can shed any more light on this, ABS sensors maybe? Will try to get the fault codes and post here. Thanks.

I just had the air susp inactive on mine
It was the compressor on its way out and one of my ride height sensors were broke off.

Get the fault mate though, it will pay for itself !

Not sure about if it could be the steering angle sensor, wait to see what your fault mate shows up

Hi,thanks for the info will check this out, how will you know the compressor is on it's way out? this is the faultmates BBS quoted me, as I run 3 RR's and they are costing a fortune, my thoughts are to go with the first three, advice please

The first 3 are just Fault Code readers, not sure if they can also clear fault codes. They certainly will not give you things like live data or the ability to re-sync the P38. Look at the Faultmate Nano, it doesn't have the ability to function as a stand alone like the Extreme, you have to use the laptop, but it does the same job and would save a few Euro's.
You might also save a bit if you bought a Nanocom Evo for the P38 and the Faultmate for the L322's.
Personally I think the FCR is a waste of time.
