HB's Swing-away Wheel Carrier

Fitted my new wheel carrier yesterday! It was getting dark by the time I finished. Took me about an hour an a half. The hardest part was getting the old wheel carrier off the door! Me arms weren't long enuff to hold the 10mm spanner on the inside of the door, and then reach round the back with a phillips. Managed eventually tho! Am reet chuffed with it. Still gotta re-attach my fog light, which now doesn't fit where it used to and find mesself a blanking plate to cover them holes where the old carrier was. Me back door now shuts properly and doesn't randomly swing open when i go round a bend...

I got it off E-Bay fer about £3.50 I think. Theres loads of companies on there that will do em for you.

Thats great that Hybrid. I like the way you managed to retain the rust inside the wheel. The bare patch on the rear door is a classic and the new bolt holes on the rear outer wing are a must. At least your rear wiper will now work: no need for spacers on the bolt shafts.

**** off yer daft ****. What do you actually know about anything? Oh! And A) Who gives a **** if the inside rim of the spare is slightly rusty?? B) The bare patch on the rear door is where the old wheel carrier was, as stated in my post so is yet to be dealt with, if i even bother. Its a ****in Land Rover it int ment to look perfect. C) There are no 'new bolt holes' on the 'rear outer wing', i only drilled two holes, which are now covered by the top hinge of the carrier. D) The ****in rear wiper never worked in the first place as there is no ****in switch for it.

It was justified! Millertime is a pointless ****.

No wonder ... you all pushed her too far, and she cracked.
