Hazard 12V ciggy socket

Hi, the other day I noticed my hazards wern't working - traced to a blown fuse, the local motor factors didnt have any 17A's so went with a 15 which has now blown, would it matter too much if I used a slightly higher rating than 15A at all?? If so any recommendations...

If your fuses are blowing then you need to find out what is shorting out and causing them to blow.

Putting higher rated fuses will prevent them from blowing and shift the problem to the next weak spot and could quite easily end up with you sitting in a burning vehicle.

If your kettle kept blowing fuses at home would you fit a 40 amp fuse to it?? If the answer is no (and I hope it is) then why would you do it in your car??

Ok, I get the point, its just i wondered if I could use a SLIGHTLY higher value until i can get the exact value, but probably best to leave it for now, I'll have a bit of a look around tomorrow.

Yer ano man, but last month we went campin so I spent loads of cash on that, and it wur our anniversary so I spent more then. Am a student FFS 500 nicker is a lot of money! Enough for a disco anyway.
