Hi.

As some of you may know, there's an unofficial Google Groups support page for the Hawkeye diagnostics tool, created by a LZ user (sorry, forgot your name :) ). A little while ago it was announced over there that there was a new update coming out: version 6.
I emailed Bearmach and they were kind enough to mail me a CD, to Portugal, with this new update.

So far I've only been able to notice some new features in the ECM live data menu:
  • It now reads the correct temperature for the intake air (previously it always showed -38ºC);
  • Boost pressure is now in KPa;
  • Coolant temperature looks more accurate;
  • Now shows the position of the clutch pedal and sensors 1 and 2 for the brake pedal;
  • Now shows rpm as read by CPS and number 4 injector (not really sure if this is the right sensor..);
  • Battery voltage read by the Hawkeye is lower than what is read with a voltmeter;
  • Shows the status and voltage of the cruise control circuit;

I also think that the ABS menu has more tests than it used to.

One think that I was hoping for, and that I've read is possible with a special version of the Hawkeye, was the ability to resync the ECM codes. I couldn't find this anywhere so I'm guessing it's still not possible.

All of the above was tested on my 2.5 DSE, so maybe there are other updates for the V8s that I'm not aware of.

Cheers and happy updating! :)

Thanks for the update. I have the version 6 one also. Hope that they will add the calibration for the blend motors at some point.
