!!!!!hawkeye for use in ipswich!!!!

i have a hawkeye if anyone would like to use it for a small fee i live just outside ipswich :nospamhere:

that's your opinion pal i had to pay someone on here before i bought one as he said as well i have just payed out £300 we have to get something back or you could just go to Maine stealer.

Nobody 'has' to pay for anything here, unless its a for sale ..often folk will offer to buy a drink/cover fuel or make a donation for labour/time etc...But to say 'i'll let you use it for a fee' is a bit spammy and a bit against the spirit of lz..imho.

I'm ashamed, it was indeed a silly point.

I,m losing out !.

I " helped " someone from a forum change his oil and filters, and onother chap change his rear arm bushes on his D1.

Seriously though, I may not have had folks from the forum doing work on my car, but without the giving/sharing nature of Landrover owners, and all the knowledge and advise they freely impart, I may have been looking at having to pay someone else to do the work for me.

Each to thier own I guess, but I wouldnt even think about charging for helping a fellow Landy owner out. ( including hooking up my HawkEye ).

well i for one even with the nature of this forum allow anyone to do work for me (that i cant do) for nothing, i do like mates rates, tea and buiscuits rates etc etc fuel cost bed and breakfast etc etc etc - i would like to think that if i had something that would come in useful i would assist. ps what is an hawkeye?? (i know its a silly question but someone has to ask for all those people out there too nervous to ask)
o by the way 50 pence when you coming to do my total refurb on my series 3 lol

i think i have touched a nerve I'm a true believer in free information but you are going on like I'm asking for £50 i was only thinking a drink for my time as you said

HawkEye/Nanocom are diagnostic tools for the more modern Landrovers electronic system. ( electronics not being an issue with a series3 !! ).

Did you miss out " wont allow " in your post above ?.

Theres a big difference between offering/giving someone something for " helping you out ", and setting a fee before you even start !.

Petrol money, consumables and incurred costs obviously need to be considered though.
