Have I made a costly mistake?

Is the clutch release lever free and lubricated ever oil change?
Lack of lubricant is often the start of clutch troubles.

Yes I always make sure that it's lubed. But the inside of the bay is minding at the moment with dust and ****. I still have hydraulic pressure as far as I can tell. The clutch pedal isn't flooring. The slave does move but so does the mount. Waiting for recovery now so hopefully they will be able to shine some light on it. I'm hoping it's just the hydraulic system somewhere and not major work

One more thing when the engine is running the clutch pedal feels slightly bumpy when depressing and releasing.??

Sounds like the release bearing might be at fault.

Hope not. Well just got home after a really long wait and got the hydraulics off. The mount is bendy and the slave leaks. Fingers crossed. If it's the release bearing I take it that means a removal of the gear box. Ideally like to avoid that.

If the mount is bending and the slave is leaking, it's likely the problem.

Took the mount off this morning. It has a crack just below where he slave goes and bends easily. The slave was leaking from the gator. I've ordered these parts and given the are a good clean and lubed up the bit that get pushed by the slave. Hopefully this will be it or my holiday plans this summer are over
