That's not right. it's showing as a 2011 puma. The Calvin site is the best one I've seen.

I really am gutted for you mate, as the others said if you have put a any accessories or new parts on it get them off as more than likely dvla/police will come knocking at your door at some point and tow it. Push this right back to the person that sold it to you. If you paid by card then also contact your bank to see if they can re claim the funds as it may be that you have been passed stolen goods without realising. I would be surprised if the trader didn't know it was dodgy. It might sting but youight want to get your money back while you have a chance rather than waiting to find that dvla come after you 6-12 months down the line. Also if it is stolen then it gives the cops a chance to get it back to the correct owner.

I don't think you have a problem. The model year character reached 9 in 2009 so would have started again. 2010 A 2011 B

I suspect the VIN is correct and MOT guy read it incorrectly

Nope the year identifier for a 1999 Landrover is X for 85 to 87 it's a B identifier.

Is the chassis number you've just listed the same as the one on the logbook?

Then they went to numbers and ran out. VIN's reuse characters over time so it is possible for B to mean 2 different years.

yep but 2011 would make it a Puma with the Transit engine. so it'd defo be a ringer in that case. :doh:
