Have I done the right thing ?

I tow a 1.8ton boat on a twin axle trailer. I pull it on motorways and I also pull the boat up some steep slippy slipways.
I have/had a Frontera which was fine on slipways but did struggle on motorway hills.

SO

I have just put a deposit on a Discovery TDi 300 ES auto. R reg, 118k miles with full service history. very tidy car.....I looked at some really rubbish ones..

Will the disco do what I want it to do...??

If you are asking if you did the right thing by buying a disco I would say definately the disco will pull your boat trailer and your vauxhall all at once no worries

yes, you've done the right thing. The only improvement you could have made is to have bought a Defender.

My girlfriends uncle had a frontierer to pull his caravan, it was crap for pulling it, bought a TD5 and never looked back!

So yes you have made the right choice.
