Just trying to identify this part

My mate said it was removed from and old landy

Im not sure, it looks very old

I think its some sort of towbar mounting plate

Not that i need it for anything, just curious to find out what it is

Looks non-standard .. and looks like it was made to help support a truck cab rear fold-down door, or other equipment, as well as be a tow-plate.
 
The two plugs either side are for HGV trailer electrics. It looks like it is a fold up underneath the rear chassis tow bar that some one has made.

They are also used for comercial trailerboards. I would have said they were a bit new to have been on a series landy though:confused:. I rekon it's for the spreader plate of a harvey frost or similar sling type recovery apparatus.
