hi, as anyone tried milkstone remover, seems to be a very good cheap way of killing rust, a lot cheaper than jenalite, if you have I'm looking for someone local to notts area that sells it, i need some asap to do my chassis

Not heard of that, but apart from acid baths/dips I've not heard of any of those things been particularly effective if I'm honest, but hopefully someone will prove me wrong fairly soon
 
It's a phosphoric acid base, but is designed for removing rust stains in milking parlours, not heavy duty corrosion inhibiting.

It might work. Give it a try and let us know...

They are all short term solutions, your chemically change the surface of the rust but the oxidisation has already taken hold, the process just gives you a workable surface to repaint. Short of cutting it out or as you said dipping there is no real cure for rust
