Im not so sure that the BECM is faulty but the car still needs the code each time. Its ok to do it but its not right and Im waiting for it to go wrong completly. So here is exactly what happens.
1. I go to the car open it with the key (not by remote)
2. I Always try and start it first but the Engine Disabled shows on the display.
3. I then close the drivers door and put in the code and it starts and drives normally.
4. I can turn it off and lock it for twenty mins ish then its still ok.
5. any more than this I have to put the code in again.

The part/sensor/whatever it is that holds/remembers the code must be faulty. The thing is I dont know what part that is. If it is the BECM is there anyway of programing my spare one? The car can only be opened with the key as I cant program the fob to the car. Maybe this is part of the same problem?? I dont know. Has anyone else had this before? Thanks again..

It sounds like your key fob transponder is not being recognised. This is different to remote lock/ unlock. What you are describing is textbook emergency key access where you migh use the third key in the set that doesn't have the buttons or transponder, just a plain key. It will only allow you 20 mins or so as an added security feature. Otherwise you could put the code in once and then anyone could start it just by use of a large screwdriver. If you can't sync the key you may need a new one. I take it you have changed the batteries and followed the sync instructions to the letter.
