Hardura maintenance

Hi all,

As far as I know, the original trim around the gearbox tunnel and bulkhead in the cabin of my '73 Series III 109, is called Hardura.

In principle it's in pretty good shape still, however there is some dirt inside the texture, and it's becoming slightly greyish.

Is there any advice around on how to clean and protect? Just normal water and soap? Any protection spray to make it black and shiny again?

when i took mine off my bulkhead it was grubby as anything, i just used soapy water and a sponge to scrub it up clean and dried it off

i then laid it on the floor and laid books all over it for a few days to flatten out the curls it had gained over the last 45 or so years

Seem to remember I brought mine back to life with black boot polish...mines a 75 88" with the de-lux trim.

I would try some plastics cleaner / preserver like amourall like found in Halfords.
Mine didn't have one so I bought a new replacement. Can't remember where I bought mine from but I'm sure it was half this price.
