When fitting the roof today, I tried to fit seal 334610 (RHS) hardtop to roof seal.

The old seal was triangular, and supple. These new ones were hard, and square. The slot is triangular too, so these ones don’t fit!

Has anyone else had any issues with these seals? I have thrown the towel in for today, but measured up to make my own seals tonight. I will be using 2 layers of 3mm neoprene and calling that good.

Where did you buy the seal from?

I got them form LR direct, but they are britpart. I’m not sure that type of seal is designed for my type of window/side panel. I don’t know of different ones, but maybe mine are different to the type that seal was designed for. Anyway, I will use the home made version tomorrow and see how I get on.

Does your original look like this?

I had the same problem so ended up using the old ones again.

Odd,
I'd be tempted to wait and sort out proper seals. Or, do what Mick did and use the old ones if you're in a hurry.

I would use the old ones, but I think I binned them as they were worse for wear. They didn’t seal properly anyway, so I don’t feel like I have lost anything by making my own. If it doesn’t work, I can always apply some sealer to the seam.
