Hard to select 2nd gear!

Hi Guys,
I have just purchased a Disco 11, 2002, revamp. The vehicle drives very well and tows like a dream.
I have noticed that from cold 2nd gear is extremely very difficult to select, once warm it is fine, however the gears are "clipping" during change (you can feel the cogs clipping slightly). The vehicle has done 54000 miles.
I still have a guarantee on vehicle but need some advice to throw at the dealers, any help please. Thanks.

Sounds like your clutch needs adjusting.

int this the usual "they all do that"? the LT77 box is known fur that - having sed that - i just realised he sed its a 2002 discoII - that wud have the R380 box shirley?

where are my tablets? think i need one...

Notchy changes into 2nd (and sometimes 1st) are common on the r380 box when cold. Make sure it has MTF94 oil in it which should improve things. It will be better in summer when the weather's warmer!
