Just on the offchance that someone travels that way once in a while.

Is anyone likely to be travelling from the Hampshire area (basingstoke/reading/newbury) up the M5/M6 at all - preferably to nth Wales/Chester/Liverpool area, but I know that is unlikely (who wants to go there), as I am trying to get a windscreen to that part of the country and cant see the posty either getting it on his bicycle or it arriving in one piece.
If you are travelling in that direction, i can, most likely, agree a meeting place so you dont have to go out of your way.
If someone does that journey on a regular basis - even better.

will do, i reckon we could set up a relay where people take it around the country till it reaches north wales, any takers, the route is currently woking to prestatyn, MHM is covering the collection in woking and willing to go 10 miles north of basingstoke, so any one north of there, get signed up ;)

andover - reading - newbury - woking (;)) - alton =- say about 15-20 miles.

as i sed b4 - i wud normally use a courier - but am i a reluctant with a windscreen.

right then come on, i know there are peeps in at least two of them places, get signed up fer the yellas windscreen charity relay. if we get the windscreen to me by the end of january i am willing to donate 20 quid to cancer research, any one else that wishes to donate i will send the donations with a letter stating what we all done. ;)

ok we have had a couple of offers, one off betty blue, but that was a bit early, and one off adz but that was for xmas day, i dont think the doris would let me out on xmas day, but thanks adz and betty, please post yer offers on here instead of pm's, it just helps to show everyone that people are willing to put themselves out and help a good cause ;)

i mite even be able to get it to the bristol/wales bridge. my son-in-law goes down there on occasions - so if anyone wants to pick it up from the m4 - and take it up the m5? let me know.

Sadly, mode of transport has changed as taking the landie to Cumbria has been vetoed on the grounds of it not being comfortable enough for the doris who is nearly 8 months up the spout. So we've got to take her asthmatic 1.8 VW Golf automatic instead - mind you, if feels like a rocket powered rollerskate on crack compared with the landy.

Somehow I don't think a windscreen is going to fit in or be safe enough in the golf with the amount of shoes the doris will want to take up there for a week long stay - so I'm going to have to "un-offer" I'm afraid.

Hope you have a better christmas than mine is going to be, seeing as I'll be in cumbria with no Land Rover :-(

Grunt... you deserve yer nickname... wish I could say the same.. be gorra!
