Do you mean one of these ?

I clocked a comparison on the tube about another make, Pico?
There is a vid on the model you have in the advert also. ;)
It maybe could be used to monitor a coil pack on a petrol and it'll do cranking compression. It depends on the usage and the extra parts required to make it do particular jobs.
Watch the vids mate. They are good.
It's a big consideration on my investing list for my garage business. :)

Ooh ooh, interested!
Come on @backinblack spill beans, do you have one and what's your experience with such wizardry? ;)

Yes I bought it in may 2020 (see advert) :D
Only played with it a bit for checking amp output to drivers door speaker, FBH control board signal to test software, output waveforms of battery chargers (pulse width/frequency), testing height sensors, can't remember what else. Also bought a cheapo Chinesium 600amp clip on ammeter but not tried it yet.
Watched a few vids before I bought it and for the price IMO it was well worth it.

I've been using an old Tektronix 2235 analog oscilloscope for many years, but it's not ideal for the slow waveforms on car engine systems. Seen the videos online for both Hantek & Pico. The Pico looks excellent and probably better supported, but is quite expensive for home use !!

Was really wondering about whether to go for the 1008C, 8 channel, rather than stump up the extra ££ or the 6074BE.

I already have various 10:1 & 100:1 scope probes, plus a Spark Lead clip like the one in the centre of the picture above. Tried spark check on my P38 yesterday, but the Tektronix had trouble triggering cleanly. At 700rpm tickover, the sparks are only 3 pulses per second, which is too slow for my analog scope !!

Pete
