Hey guys after getting a new transfer box fitted the mechanic has managed to kill my handbreak with it pulled all up it still rolls.

I've adjusted the bolt on back if drum - no effect

I've adjusted the cable tightened that's the same as a push bike - no effect

Is it possible he put handbreak drum back wrong? As it was perfect before he butchered it.

Any other way to adjust the cable because it seems odd it was ok before he stripped it or anything else to check?

Cheers

drum cant be fitted wrong ,have you adjusted bolt on backplate till drum is locked then just backed off till its free , is cable actually pulling on shoes

From memory, aren't there two cams inside that can slip out ?
I had a pain sorting mine out, strip it down and check it all is in order, cams must only go in one direction.... Not much help but better than not !

Everything is adjusted to the max as much as it can go and I still have to yank the handbreak right to the top and it still does not lock so if I'm on a slight hill it will roll, the shoes will be my originals and the cable will be so I'm still not sure what else I can do to reduce the play in the cable to the handle but ill strip it and see.

Thanks
