Hi
This appears to be broke, intermittently on for miles at a time. Brakes ok and fluid level ok aa guy suggested this switch- where do you get these from cant find one anywhere!!!!

My light was intermittent- unplugged the fluid level switch not had a problem since......

Guess I ought to replace the brake fluid cap

Is it the hand brake switch or the fluid level switch that is faulty ?

Depends on what year the car is. If you have the later remove brake fluid reservoir then the contacts on the switch can fail. Check to see if the plug feels loose.

The handbrake on switch can be bought from places like rimmer bros for about a tenner for a non genuine one. I got one for £7 from a scrap yard, did the trick for me but the light can also come on, as the others say, if the fluid level switch is faulty or dirty. Also mke sure the fluid is well topped up, sometimes even though the level is halfway between min and max the switch doe like it be nearer max!
