hand brake loose

I jerked the hand brake too tightly and it snapped

. I removed the cover on the handbrake to discover the cable was still attached, so the fault must be further down.
Any ideas on how to fix it

if its a depender it acts on the prop, take the drum to bits and see what its like, will be obvious what the problem is when yer can see the other end

Sound like ye snapped the cable, like 90 says get under it to the drum and get someone up top to work the lever and if the mechanism dunt move yer cables broke and yell need a noo one
