I have a N plate 300tdi import. The handbreak has snapped (cable) and i am really struggling to get a new one. The problem seems to be is that it is a import.

can you please Help....my business is going down the pan. Not even my local garage can find on?

is it lever type, or does the cabkle go straight into the drum?

anyway, if you cant get one, you will be abel to get a uk model drum and cable from a scrappy for around zero pounds.

not a biggy.

oh and temporarily, just park it up and leave it in gear. much safer than them drum brakes anyway!

Worst case scenario you may have to google cable manufacturers to get one made.

If you're still strugging contact a rigging specialist to see where they get their wire rigging made, that'l give you a starter for 10

Take your old one along so they can match it up. It will cost more but if you really can't find the correct cable then that is your only option.

Considering it's a 2ton brick, it should be left in gear when parked regardless of whether or not the handbrake is working.
