Greetings all, thought I'd pop me head in here and say 'hi'
Just bought a series 2 Discovery TD5, pick it up next week. It wasn't on my list of cars to own just yet but circumstances dictated otherwise. It ticks all the boxes and looking forward to what it can do. Main criteria was something big with plenty of room for the dogs, comfortable commute and towing. No, not a caravan, but aiming to go back to circuit racing or rallycross so need a decent load lugger!
It'll be strange going from an MG to this but not as if I haven't done it before!
Tinkered with Land Rovers before as my brother-in-law is a Landy nut, owns a nice new 12 seater and a series 1 1949. I helped him restore an old series two some years back, rebuilt the steering, suspension, brakes and engine. Hang on a minute, what exactly did he do?
Looking forward to some banter and shared knowledge.
