'Half' Size Roof Racks

Hi chaps,

I'm after a half sized roof rack for the Disco. Something that will fit above the driver / passanger heads before the roof raises up slightly.

So far, searches on the internets have drawn a blank, although a phone call to my local Land Rover main dealer showed that they had, but at a price..... £257.42 (part no; RTC 95 35 AB)

So, do any of you chaps know where abouts I may be able to find what I'm looking for, but at a much more palatable price?

Blimey. First post, and a pretty good one at that.

Just one problem with your cunning plan......

I think the costs involved in transporting that roof to me, then cutting my old one off, welding in place the new one, then painting it, might work out a little bit more expensive than buying the one from land Rover.

But besides that, good idea.

I guess I assumed you could take the bars off the roof and fix to your existing lid. Wondered if Mr seller might remove them and post them (some ebay folk are very helpful)
But if the roof has to come off I agree its a nice idea but not viable.

Actually, you may have a point.....

As mine is without the bars, I'm not sure how they come off, or how they would connect onto an existing roof.

Although, TBH, I'd still prefer a mini rack mounted at the front for the following reasons.

1; So I can fit lamps to it
2; With one mounted at the back, especially with a 2" suspension raise, I would be concerned about height restrictions.
