Usually i park facing the house on my driveway, just drive straight on, and my drive is a slope but the missus had abandoned, sorry parked, her car in my spec yesterday so i parked next to her, but i reversed on knowing full well when she went to work today i would have to move mine.
Just got in it to move it and the front was absolutely full of water, all top of dash and all over switches and panels. Worse though is i have only just fitted (yesterday) a new stereo, nice little jobby with a flip down front and an inside electronic aerial that is nestling right at the bottom of the windscreen out of site in front of dash.
Both have been soaked well and truly, the stereo deciding not to work at all. Im hoping its just a fuse popped, but it was soaking wet.
Gutted.
Oh and i know it aint my sunroof leaking, i dont have one.
 
Wish I hadnt read and replied to this post this morning, went out to service mine after replying having parked it facing up the driveway for the first time since i got it last week to find water all over the load cover and my tools and a soaked headlining!

Looks like it's coming in through the top nearside 1/4 light, but could be rear sunroof, when it stops raining again i'll have to investigate further.

ARSE!!!
 
Ive just been to check mine and found my glovebox neatly storing a puddle for me, deep joy.

Especially as at the bottom of the box, and ultimately the puddle, is my sat nav receiver.
GPS= got ****ing soaked.

Must be coming in from top corner of windscreen, so im gonna seal that tomorrow with industrial strength superglue.
Or blu tac, whichever i can find first.
 
my mk1 focus did the same thing. passenger footwell swimming in water one day. after a heavy storm. turns out the screen was leaking. it took the main dealer 2 goes to sort it.
 
Check on the windscreen gutters, i had a look on mine and there seems to be a bit of sealant from where the screen was replaced and i think there is a small hole in it as I had a stream come down the windscreen piller, will need to look at that before it wrecks the interior.
 
All the electronic kit is likely to be ok, best to not try and turn it on but un plug it and take it in the house and let it dry out properly and then tryi it. Its only if you get say speakers wet or things like that that are made of cardboard. Circit boards are ok.
 
All fuses are ok, and the it works sort of, but...............if you look at the pull down panel, the centre round buttons are tune and volume, the tune is ok, as are all the buttons on right ,but the left buttons, and the big power one at front dont work.
So i cant turn the volume up or down, change from cd to radio, or turn it off or on. it comes on with ignition and everything else works ok, changes colour display and stuff, but the most important ones dont.

Ok, i know this aint helpful really, but i put it in the oven, fan assissted, to try and dry it out. On a low light of course (theres a photo in the introduce yourself section, from darren44), after 2 hours i then used a hairdryer on mild to send warm air into the front panel. (the oven wasnt doing its job i reckon). :)

And yes, i am certified nuts......lol
 
just poured 1ltr coke in my stereo from McDONALDS!!!!!!!! DIDNT WORK TOOK it out dryed in airing cupboard and put sprayed hot water on it completlydried it out it now works A1 even on dash controls. Dont rush it.:eek:
