Hello, I am new to this forum and in need of some advice.
There is a loud grinding noise coming from below the gear lever area of my 1998 1800 Freelander. I have been adviced to get another transfer box.
Having read some of the letters on this forum, i am wondering if it would be advantages to take of the rear prop and vcu and run the car as a 2 wheel drive to see if the noise goes before purchasing a IRD.
