Just to say hello and to test the system, prior to looking for some advice about towing a caravan with a Freelander.

Hi and welcome.

IIRC early Freelanders gave clutch trouble when towing, usually 1.8 K Series engined ones that are pretty gutless in a 5dr.

To be fair you don't see all that many FRs towing, thats not to say none are used to tow with. I would think that a TD4 would be the best bet. Best engine of the bunch.
