Hello everyone. As my brother and I have recently bought a 1960(?) 5 door 109 it seemed like a good idea to join this illustrious group. I have previously owned 2 Discovery 1's and currently own two Range Rovers, a 2000 which I take offroad with my club, Rover-Landers of BC, and a 2008 fullsize supercharged. I also owned a 1998 RR which I did a lot of work on and then sold. My brother and I have been working on our cars for 50 years so we have lots of tools and since we are both retired, lots of time. Hope to be able to contribute from time to time. Cheers, Gordon

What 2 P38s did you have?

Welcome to LandyZone
I had a 1998 which reqired me to do a lot of work. Replaced all air bags and the blend motors among other small things. Then the engine became immobilized due to faulty driver's door latch so I took out the BeCM logic board and sent it to Marty_nz on the range rovers.net forum and he fixed that problem. I then installed a new door latch. I was going to keep it but then came across a MY 2000 Autobiography with an immobilized engine for $1000 so I bought it and sent the board off again. Replaced both front door latches on that one. Sold the 1998 and have been driving the 2000 on and off-road. Pretty much trouble free although I did swap in Arnott Gen3 bags from a donor car i bought which had a bad tranny. I bought two MY 2000 donor cars for $1100 so have enough parts to keep it going for ever. I like driving it almost as much as my 2008 full size supercharged. Pretty amazing what it can do off-road considering the luxury it affords.

Cannot really say about the Arnott's. I did not try to using RSW software to reset the original bags to a higher level so cannot compare to what I have with the Arnott's. I do have a lot of height when set to off-road. I actually think only the front bags from my donor car are Arnott as it did not look like the rear bags could go as high when I tried different settings.
