greetings and advice needed please

Hi everybody new to this so please be gentle. Recently bought a disco 2 and it's come to that point in our relationship where we need new tyres. Being a canny sort of chap i sourced a couple of part worn for a song but Mrs h (she reads instructions) thinks that both tyres need to be the same type e.g both radial (obviously) and both the same make e.g michellin on the same axel. Can someone please tell me if this is the case and if so where i can get cheap tyres from? I live in Bolton near Manchester. Any and all advice welcome thanks in advance ste

Gotta be honest im a stickler for matching thread patterns and make, that way i know both sides should react the same way cornering and braking

once i work out how to get them from my phone to the computer then fron the computer to the tinterweb possably
