Has anyone been over to the punchbowl the last couple of weeks? Not sure if the large tree is still across the lane with the steps down by the river if ya know the one?? Don't know the name of it haha

Update. The lane is clear of the offending tree :)

Avoid the lane by Pfizer for the moment! I came up from Buckland, bit hairy but manageable got to the top of the hill and there are two whopping great trees down.... No option other than to reverse nearly all the way down the hill which was interesting  Also the very narrow bit with the 25ft drop either side has started to disappear...

Definitely need a new pair of pants!

Hi all, was out on Sunday and thought you'd be interested in these updates:

MODERN-DAY EXPLORERS: BOAT: Rockey Lane

Tried this 09/02/2014 from the East, but met a group of bikers coming out who assured me it was blocked with a big tree and needs a bit of chainsaw attention to make it passable again. (Massive shame as this is a great lane.)

MODERN-DAY EXPLORERS: BOAT: North Stroud Lane

Was almost blocked by a large tree trunk 09/02/2014 (a tree which was previously completely blocking the lane). Trunk is in a narrow cutting part of the lane. Could get past with a lot of effort and use of the rock sliders. Anything with nice panels and body work i.e. not a defender, probably wouldn't want to get past. It is also fairly muddy and unstable around the tree which didn't help (friends 90 was temporarily stuck). Could do with clearing properly.

Cheers.

The first lane is clear enough to get round the tree see this vid: greenlaning 2014 part1 - YouTube

I might pop up with a few saws and cut abit off though.
(Unless there's another tree down since then)
Might have a butchers...

Second lane don't like that anyway haha, tried it in my old 90 and dented and ripped every drivers side pannel as you rest against the rock cutting starting at the barn end. Last time the group went out it was going to be the last lane of the day just as it got dark but I warned that you would do damage so skipped it!
