A few of us carry recovery gear of some sort or another so recovery shouldn't be too much of an issue.

I should have some decent recovery points by this trip too. Gonna be fitting front and rear shackle points hopefully next weekend. Better than looping my straps around front chassis legs like I've been doing.

Do you remember that Sandy lane around frensham pond? I went down there a few nights ago (short cut) and someone had there defender well and truly stuck in the water hole. Buried up to the axles. Had to use my high lift jack, get waffle boards under the wheels and tow it out. Damaged a strap doing it too  added an hour to my trip

Woah!

That water hole can be really bad. I like that route though as you get a nice bath at the end to get rid of the sand :D

Blimey..... I think we better call that maxed out for this trip then. I think we'll be ok, might just be a bit slower getting round the lanes.
Depends if everyone shows up of course.

Hey guys. Haven't read all 99 pages but I gather you are planning a green lane trip in Surrey. Went out last weekend and most of the lanes are closed off with gates now. Mainly the shere section.

Which are you talking about specifically? Quite a few have seasonal restrictions, and we're well out of season..

I'm not entirely sure on the names of the lanes I'm afraid. I know the one from horsley to shere( London lane ) is closed. Then as you go through shere village. Over the bridge and past the houses on your left. Tht one that heads to cranleigh is shut Aswell.

OK guys thats great, where are we meeting and what lanes are we doing ? Will i get round on 31/10.50/15 bfg all terrain or should i fit my alloys on 235x16 recips. S'pose previous days weather would pre determine this but still don't know where we are going. Can't wait though.

Yeah I'll pm some details to all a good few days before.
I went along to check on our rutted lane yesterday. it's washing out onto the road again.

You'll be fine on either piekey, there is possibly one lane we might do with a height restriction so maybe nothing too tall. Depends on how tall everyone is on the day as to wether we do that lane.
