... oh and the lane that had the fallen tree trunk in it that exits onto the road has been completely concreted over. You could drive a ford fiesta up it now.

I dont know if you were with us the last time we drove it Andy the farmer had tipped a load of hardcore from his field to try and stop us getting through, but this time he had really piled it up and because it had rained and dried it was like concrete and was about six foot high so no chance of moving any of it, i had already had a tow from Paul to get that far as it was deeply rutted and my steering guard was grounding out, so the prospect of reversing out wasnt a good one as paul was in front of me, there was no way to turn round either, so all we could do was back up and hope we made it out, it was a hair raising reverse as i had to really go for it so as not to ground out again, and on the way back i hit a tree stump trying go reverse round a fallen tree stump lol, so a bit further back down the lane paul found a possible turning round spot, it wasnt great but our best chance to turn round and drive out so Paul tried first and did it so then he backed up and i tried hoping not to get stuck across the lane, so that worked and we finally got out, i ripped the plastic corner off the bumper and bent the bodywork a bit but not too bad really, just glad to get out lol

Oops not such a successful trip :(

Took the 90 to the garage today for her steering and mentioned the clonking...came out with not just a new front prop shaft but a back one too...oops....:eek:

Did you keep the old ones? If not go back and get them back, rebuild them and keep as spares/flog!

gave the disco a jet wash today and took about a wheelbarrow full of mud out from the steering guard lol, had a good result today though got hold of a leccy window ecu today and bingo all my windows now work, just got to fix the body damage now, i might try and make some sort of protection for the rear lower quaters as they are quite vunerable on the disco, never did like those plastic ends on the bumpers anyway, also noticed one of my muds was getting pretty worn so if anyone has one kicking around i could do with it thanks

Something like this would be good Steve

Well get them and get one of us to do it lol!

I'll keep that in mind when they next go. Think Ive still got the last rear prop in the garage somewhere, came in really useful when we locked ourselves out of the garage and had to bash the door down ;) :D then the alarm went off...not so much fun :(
