Firstly Welcome along. :)

You need to be careful about handing out lane information to people you dont know. Some people are not out to drive lanes responsibly, there just looking to get muddy!

Also, i dont understand why you would do all the leg work speaking to councils and ROW officers, looking at def maps etc just to give that information out to anyone.

Noted and understood. Just willing to pass on the information i recieved. Mainly because living in Bucks there just never seem to be any about apart from the ridgeway which got shut down years ago and every off roader i have spoken to has said that they wish they knew of some more in Bucks. There was no real leg work involved just a email to the council and some waiting a around for a reply.
But Cheers for the advice.

Hello mate,

I am just down the road from you mate, I have been emailing the ROWO for bucks and she's emailed me map's and a list of
Byways. However I didn't get any on the ridgeway though so I am will to do swaps :)

Hello. Due to the amount of people emailing me about this thread i will not be passing info onto people unless they have posted in the forum at least 50 times. Getting a lot of people who sign up to pm me and thats the last you hear from them. BGB waiting for a "i told u so" lol

;)

don't see what all the fus is about. buy a map, find the byways and see if they're open. easy as peas :D

Youd think it was difficult wouldnt you??? :D

I still don't understand why these aren't posted on the forum for everyone to see, if anyone can obtain the information anyway why not make it convenient?

Not handing out the information doesnt make any difference when it's avaliable to everyone anyway, if someone wants to go tear up a green lane then they are probably going to do it regardless.. It just makes the whole thing more difficult for the vast majority of people who want to green lane respectfullly and properly.. And it probably puts off a fair few of them too :(

Wrong!

It didnt put me off.

What it does is keep the people that are just in it to fling mud off our lanes and in the pay and play sites. Which os where we want them

There is alot of effort in finding greenlanes and finding out if its legal to drive them. When you look at what is required when you have actually found a lane then there is alot of people who cannot be bothered to do the leg work.

When i was told that i couldnt just get a list of lanes or maps, i found the information myself. Anyone who doesn't, obviously isnt that bothered.
