Looks like the Freelander aquitted itself well.

It gives me more confidence to want to do one of these 'non-scratchy' green lane outings in my pampered Freelander.

Great photo's guys.

Yep, ground clearance seemed to be the only real concern.....and it did **** itself with fright after one of the fords ;) but can't see any excuse for not getting one good n wet n muddy :D

I can't believe that the midland chaps failed us by getting 110woman stuck and hysterical.:(

If she doesn't get over it we may never tatse another of her cakes again.:mad::rolleyes::eek:

Reckon she's made of sterner stuff than to be put off by being stuck in a scene from the 'Blair Witch Project':behindsofa:

Sides, int she doing her 'bearings' this weekend.....

Looks a nice day out chaps. gutted i missed the gaylander. :( are you sure the doors didnt fall off when you werent looking?

Just so you know, the ford where daisys videos where taken, can get really deep after some rain. just so know one thinks about going on there own for a play. its deep because the farmer washes his tractor in the ford.

Last time i was there, there was a couple the otherside of the little footbridge getting shall we say cosy. :) haha.

Cooking oil update. All going well. Done lots of miles this last few weeks. Mainly driving miss daisy and his expanding photo kit, Pringles , Pepsi, flowers etc etc. my Landy is running great, dare I say it sweater than before. It still smells buy hey ho. I'm converted . Just going to research what's the highest mix that's safe. I'm still on 50 %

Looks good. Apart from the fact I'm a bit of a wuss, mines a standard road-tyre fitted ES model, therefore 17" alloys, leather interior (which I don't want to get dirty - see, told you I was a wuss) , but no steps or tow bar or anything useful when extracating a stuck one!

It's been a long time since I went around the original rough track at Solihull, so I am not confident in my skills either, so it's the "Novice Slopes" for me first time out.
