Green laning in Sawtry, Peterborough

Oh, got another addition to the fleet! Got my own RRC Plans are to build it up for mild laning so I can keep up with you guys - so +2" springs and shocks, +2" body lift, drop turretts, adjusted castor/radius arms, dislocation cones, snorkel, electric fan and eventually I would like some 255/85/16 BFG KM2 . First, A bit of welding is needed, as usual!

Yeah I know - I do get most places with it. To be honest I wanted another toy to replace the SJ. The whole idea of the SJ in the first place was to have a vehicle to mainly have for laning and a bit of fun in addition to the Series. When I gave up on the SJ and broke it up I had the option of 1) Use the money from the SJ for something sensible or 2) Buy a Range Rover. The sound of the V8 won

Hehe. Eventually we will make it so deep water isn't a problem with this V8 like our other V8 RRC - i.e relocate electrical things, waterproof cases with breathers and that type of fun stuff

Rusty I'm a welder if you need any help.
I am going to do the electric fan on mine, can you let me know where you get them from?

mines due for its mot on the 28th so i must pull my finger out and get it fixed, stuff to do; weld patch on rear chassis, weld patch on floor nsf, weld up nsf outrigger, stop power steering leak, reconnect fog and reverse lights, wire up new spotlights on roofrack and sort out my cock-up with the gearbox as it doesnt want to go in to gear anymore

kev if you want to weld feel free, i only pay in beer though!

Come over sawtry today and did a few lanes. Someone said there was some good lanes over oundle way. Does anyone know these lanes. When are you all out again locally. Would it be possible to tag along

I went down the lanes in Oundle yesterday with Cambs Off Road Club - lots of fun and very challenging.

moved to Sandy mate, not too far

MOT passed today,thats a good feeling after all the work I did converting it.
now we need a day out.....

its been a while, but................ ive taken the landy for its MOT and












it failed! the garage is doing the work ive had enough, so will be on the road next week, catch you all up for some pintage and lane-x

the land rover is all legal and road worthy again, now need pints and a shakedown
