Kev, you should be able to do it without the spring clamp. I only got Kai to use one because we had one available and I wanted him to know how to use it. If you raise the body work up far enough once the damper is removed, the spring just eases out, the reverse is also true

thats what I thought, the axle would not go low enough. (might be different with a Range Rover). I had it well jacked up and tried everything.

All MOT work has now been done. lets hope they pass it now. I will replace the other springs in my own time....

Not being pedantic but I have been told that springs and dampers are one of those things that should be done as a complete axle. Don't know how true that is I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

I got all the springs and shocks done over the weekend as well.

always got a plan! yarwell is this weekend, and just down the road from you is a very tricky lane near moonshine gap. if they both are not up your street we can use you land rover and just go to the pub as mine is too cold.
