Green Lanes Dorset & Hampshire

Hi,

Struggling to find any b.o.a.t. roads on the definitive map or ordinance survey maps.

Can anyone help me find any green lanes in the Bournemouth/new forest area?

Apparently there are 37 BOAT roads in Dorset but am having trouble finding any.

I'm happy to pay to join a club or similar, but have been going over to a place i know near west bay but is a bit of a trek if you just fancy a blast for an hour or two.

There are over 160 legally driveable rights of way within the county, although probably only 70% are usable by 4x4, the remainder are only wide enough for motorbikes.

Am happy to help you but would strongly advise against driving any lane on your own, especially as most of them are saturated and easily damaged after this exceptional wet weather.

Will check out the green laning thread now, seems I've come to the right place!

Also you might want to look at joining Dorset Land Rover Club (boomer is the greenlane officer) who will be going some guided events soon. I've just joined a few weeks ago, the other bonus is £5 off the entry to Matchams P&P

Wickstar, 34064 and I went over there this morning and had a great time, so hopefully you might be able to make it on our future trips. Need all the vehicles we can get to pull us out when we get stuck hahahhaa

Yep that'll be my one, often left there overnight Yours doesn't happen to have a private plate does it starting with a C??

Hi Sorry for l8 reply, now mines an old J plate white with a black roof. Have been tempted with a P38 so may be getting rid, decisions decisions!
