Great North Rd.....??????????????

Saw on another off road site about the Great North Rd.......???????????

Apparently goes from South Mimms up past Peterborough & carries on Northwards...????

Anyone here know of this.?? Does it exist.??

Or is it just a load of Rollocks..??

Yes it is there, it goes to Edinburgh and is the road that is labled the A1.

Allways called the great north road during my lifetime

Actually begins at Marble Arch

From the way it was described on the other forum it's a green lane route Northwards (Depending on where you live

There's a lot of it that was and is green lane, some bits round Doncaster are recognised Roman Roads and BOATs, but it's all in bits now and much of it is missing under housing developments/new roads ...
