Hi all.
Swmbo has a weak right arm disability and has trouble climbing into the Td5, she keeps grabbing the a pillar, and sooner or later it's going to come off and dump her on the ground, amusing thought but I think I'd not enjoy the aftermath, even if I have repeatedly told her not too. She can't grab the seat or the handle over the door, so that leaves mounting a handle perhaps on the dash that won't interfere with the airbag or anywhere else that is easy for a left hand to grab, any ideas at all? Or has anyone done this? (Otherwise I could remove dash and replace it with non airbag dash but that seems a bit pricey)

Not sure of your interior but try and find a rear door pillar handle from a D1, trim some slots in the pillar trim so that they can slide under it, fit some rivnuts and mount it on the windscreen pillar for her to grab hold of.

Looks like.

Just an idea, and it also uses standard Land Rover Discovery parts ;)

@Muppetdaze I might have one of those..... il have a squint in the morning in my D1 spares pile ;)
if I do it will be grey !!

Could also add some sort of pulling handle that fits in the seat belt mount like the ones for securing hounds??
Not saying she's a hound lol

Is the bit on the top of the glove box solid does anyone know? I don't want to interfere with the airbag but also wondering about behind the bag near the windscreen.
