i would like to know if i can use a tig welder to do my chassis repair as i cant there being a problem as long as it is clean enough
or should i go out and use it as an excuse to buy a mig welder
i got to do the front end and im a welder by trade so was thinking it would be ok.
cheers jake

Access rather than strength will be the issue mig easier in confined spaces

tig welding is by far a better weld if done correctly as you well no:D
but for chassis work you want a mig ideally
what tig welder do you have? do you have the mma lead/torch?

hmm i c your point, i was thinking i would be able to get in there wiv the wings off though oh well i will wait for the money from my motorbike accedent to come through the door and buy a new mig welder :). then i can cheat n keep as much bodywork on as possible
