Hi Everyone,
After a moment of madness, i've taken the plunge and brought myself a Disco.
She's a 1997 Disco 2 Arden (if this makes a difference), currently sitting just below 156k and apart from some missing laquer on the front wing she's in pretty good nick for her age.
I picked her up for £1350 (which seemed like a good deal) and so far everything seems well. The only small niggles i have are:
1) The steering wheel is out of alignment around 30 degrees to the right (is this a major fix)
2) She Hates Cold Starts, i've put this down to being an old diesel. The glow plugs heat up and on the key she chugs for about 5-10 seconds before firing. When she's started she wont rev about 1.5k for about 20 seconds and then it will rev onto the turbo. She does Belch some white/grey smoke when this happens but as soon as she's warm there's no smoke and restarts are fine (any ideas).
Other than that its just the usual niggles like intermittent rear windows and interior lights.
Looking forward to spending some time on here and out on the road. I should have added, i've brought her as a Hobby car and to do a bit of Green Laning not as a daily driver, i'll keep my A4 Avant for that
