Got my key

hi all

got my key from the dealers the other day tried to get the car goin and nothing happened no doors opened just the drivers door opened when i used the key put key in ignition all the instrument lights came on but nothing showing in my display where it shows the mileage its all blank. so i tried the eka code and nothing happened

what do you think i should do next cars been off the road since jan

you have to sync the key to the car, try putting key in door press unlock on fob and turn key to unlock, do the same with lock pressing the lock on fob, then try to un lock with fob. have you had bat off? what year is you car..

my car is a n 95 dse i ve tried that and nothing happened just the fob light flashed and nothing else happened battery has been on the car but its been parked up for 3 months and had gone dead so charged it using jump leads

where are you i think you may need a relearn. somebody may be close to you to offer help..

Issue that concerns me is the blank message display panel which means either the battery is low or the becm has curled up into a ball.
You would expect at least the usual beeps and windows not set messages.

What key did you order? 1 or 2??
I too need to order a spare, but as I don't know which I already have, I don't know which to order, if that makes sense!!
What I DO know, is that if the new one is the same no. of the existing no. it won't work at all!!

it was the battery that was causing the problem it was my fault one of the battery connections wasnt on tight and was giving me a problem tightened it put the eka code in slowly and it let me in and started straight away even the fob has started to work

regarding the key mate as i lost the only 1 i had the dealer ordered key 1

hi all

my car has been playing up again with this weather i havent been driving the car much went to start the car and guess what it said keycode lockout got in using the key opened bonnet and recharged the battery all i have is when iam trying to input the code the car just bleeps everytime i turn it

is that normal or am i doing something wrong

Sounds like you need a new battery. A low battery on the P38 will cause all sorts of problems.
