Took my car to friendly man for it's first MOT today (tuesday), he takes it for a brake test as per regulations. Car stops fine but proceeds to stall and deposit a gallon or two of diesel all over the Queens highway. Looks as if the (very expensive !) front fuel pump has given way.
Nice people at Land Rover Assistance confirm that the vehicle has two weeks left under warranty and arrange recovery to the local stealer. Am picking up a Disco on loan tomorrow whilst they sort the problem.
Good job the flippin thing didn't wait for a fortnight to pack up....
Had to hastily remove all my toys (synergy, MAF box etc.) from the hippo before they took it away tho'! Fully expect they'll look for any excuse to avoid coughing up the full amount for repair,

Freelander still in Stratstones, been there since 09.00 yesterday morning and yet to be looked at!
Nice girl on phone says hang on to the V6 Disco 3 they got from Enterprise for me and they'll keep extending the hire until mine's sorted. Not a problem apart from the Diesel tanker I need to follow me round all the time..!!
