Help! - I have a leaking core plug in my Disco 2 with TD5 engine - It is the one on the right of the block to the rear of the alternator but in front of the engine mounting - Willing to pay a fair price to any Landy expert out there in the Kent or surrounding area?

How bad is the leak? I had a weeping core plug and not having time to do the full repair decided to temporarily try some bars leak. One bottle and the leak stopped. That was nearly a year ago and still no leaks so far. No water loss whatsoever and temperature is rock solid correct (according to nanocom)

Well I broke down with it (temp shot up on gauge but no other indication) and on hard shoulder found water pouring out of the plug like a fountain. RAC attended and tried Radweld - it slowed it until system pressurised and off it went again. Its a small hole but amazing quantity of water came out of it. I'd rather replace it (and probably the others in the vicinity) as I feel lucky I didn't blow the engine. I'm not able to do it myself, and I wondered if someone used to these vehicles would like it as a paid job - many on here seem very hands on with them.

Thanks for your reply and suggestion, maybe Bars leak would have got me home rather than Radweld at least.
