Hi all,

Long time no speak.

Good friend of mine is selling his westy.
It's not concours condition but it's always been well looked after by him.
He is a member here but doesn't really like forums.
As P38's go, there won't be many that have been looked after as well as this one.

Drop me a message if you're interested.

Regards
Paul

I'm after a winter project, ideally a series 3 .
Open to suggestions tho. Never ad a p38 before...
What sort of money and any pics?

Probably the only project work will be the inevitable breakdowns.
He really has looked after this.
It had a short motor just after he got it, it just recently had heads done.
All new airbags a couple of years ago if I recall.
It's on lpg.
He waxoyls it every year.
He even pulls all the multiplugs and cleans them then sprays contact lubricant on them every year or so.
He used to tow his big twin axle caravan to Spain every winter with it but the brexit rules have made that more difficult and he's getting on a bit so wants something newer and more reliable.
Apart from a few bits of window trim it really is a lovely car.
Seriously tempted myself but I've just moved house and the new house needs a lot of work so I can't afford it and I don't have time to look after it.
He's got it on for 3k but I think he's open to reasonable offers.

If you click on the link you should see the pics.

By the way, the reg number is now GL51KMA for those who want to check the history

800 is scrap value, a decent one shd be worth 5+ to the right buyer, butt emphasis on decent
This one is decent mechanically just not perfect cosmetically.
It's a tough one because it's still a lot of car for not much money but it's also an old bus so the market is tiny.
I'm genuinely toying with buying it as a weekend car for a few years until I can export it to czech as a snow bus.

Pitty it isn’t a Thor/manual but Lpg is big bonus. Seems mechanically sound and headlining done will save few sleepless nights. Once I’ve got 3-4k set aside I’ll be able to more seriously consider my options
…or wait until Snut buys it for the £800 he has saved in his biscuit tin, then buy it off him for £801.

All good here, thanks. Been struggling to find work but enjoying having more time over the summer while I burn through my savings and get various home projects done.
What is your trade?
We're bonkers busy most of the time. Just having a couple of quiet weeks but we're glad of them.
Pity you're not closer, good workers are always welcome at our place.
