good day bad ending at billing

well had a great day at billing but on way home my discovery 300tdi died at M1 south roundabout.

On calling out the rac we discovered that the fuel pump had died. AT the same time it appears there is no volts coming to the fuel pump either. We tried the fuel pump to test via rac van, nothing

is it at all possible that the fuel pump died then blew a relay or something or other way round...

is it the lift pump that died, and the live to the solenoid on the injector pump that was not live? The two are unrelated, i cant see one causing the other.
